Day 1: Pristina Airport – Peja – Radavc Cave - Drini Waterfall – Peja
We welcome you at Pristina Airport and according to your flight if time permits we will visit Radac Cave that is located under the surface of Albanian Alps in Radac, Peje. It’s like an endless circuit of tunnels, canals, sculptures created by the natural forces of water through years, the cave is near the river of “White Drin” in shape of a waterfall which gives it a magical look. This cave is 2100 meters long and it is still to be explored, now only 300meters are available for visitors. Welcome dinner will be waiting for us when we reach Peja. Overnight in Peja hotel Seraphine Plaza or similar. Difficulty level: Easy.
Day 2: Peja - Reka e Allages – Bogë B,L,D
After breakfast we will drive 30 minutes to Rekë e Allagës and from there we will have a trail of 18.00 kilometres. This trail is easy for walking, and perfect scenery a pristine nature, for some minutes we will walk also in Montenegro side in our way to Boge. Overnight in Boge at Magra Austria or similar. Difficulty level: easy to Moderate.
Day 3: Bogë – Drelaj – Bogë B,L,D
After breakfast we will start or day trail of 12.1 kilometres. A very clear and visible trail will lead us through villages until we reach Drelaj where we will enjoy a visit to Cheese factory. Traditional lunch will be waiting for us at a private house, everything will be homemade as the Albanians eat. To enjoy more the day we will have some of a singer that will play Lahuta which is a single-stringed musical instrument for Albanian epic songs. After a day full with activities we will drive back to Bogë. Overnight in Boge at Magra Austria or similar. Difficulty level: Easy to Moderate.
Day 4: Bogë - Te Liqeni (Kosovo) – Babino polje (Montenegro) B,L,D
Not an easy day will be waiting for us with a trail distance of 15.8 kilometres. Before starting the trail we will have 7.00 kilomtres of driving from Bogë to Liqenati and then we will start our trail. On this day we will pass border between Kosovo and Montenegro. 2 days of hiking must have prepared our legs for not an easy hiking day. The hike will start from the complex of Guri i Kuq (Red stone). From there we walk through a hiking area that will lead us to some lakes such as: Kuqishta Lake. From Liqenati/Lake we walk through Shkodra pass. From there we go uphill to Jelenka pass, we go downhill and we pass through Ravno Brdo pass. Afterwards not far from there we reach our day goal which is Babino polje, where we overnight. Accommodation will be in guesthouses, where the rooms must be shared with the group. We will start the day on an altitude of 1450, hiking will lead us to a peak of 1860m at Liqeni i Kuqishtes, afterwards we will have to walk down the mountain for 100 meters and then we continue to climb up to Jelenak pass on an altitude of 2272 meters. Continue down to 2050 meters altitude, climb up to 2178 m altitude and finaly we reach Babino Polje to an altitude of 1492m. To finish the trail will take 7-8 hours. Difficulty level: Moderate.
Day 5: Babino polje (Montenegro) – Plav (Montenegro) B,L,D
Today we start the day on a trail distance of 22.31 kilometres. First part of the day will have 8 km of ascending and the other part of the day will be descending until we reach Plav. We start our hiking day from Babino polje on a trail that leads us to Bajrovica village. From here we walk until we reach Hrid glacial lake. We will pass through some orientation points that comes in a row: Veliki Hrid, Trskavica hill, Trskavica river and after those close points with each other we go on a direction of Kofilajca. We walk close Kofilajca mountain and we reach a road that leads us to Plav where we overnight. Accommodation will be in guesthouses, where the rooms must be shared with the group. We start the trail on altitude of 1492 m, we climb the hill of 1982 m altitude in Hrid Lake, continue to Veliki Hrid Cliff which is 2011 m altitude, we go down on 1885 m altitude where we have a water source, we go down to 1542 m altitude Katun Treskavica and we finish the tour on an Altitude of 986 m at Plav. To finish the trail will take 7-8 hours. Difficulty level: Moderate.
Day 6: Plav (Montenegro) – Vusanje (Montenegro) B,L,D
Long day will be waiting for us on a trail distance of 22kilometres and approximately 10 to 11 hours of walking. After an early breakfast we start our hike at town of Plav and we hike to Kolenovica Katun. We pass towards Djuricka river and we reach the Zavis and to continue until we reach Gradec hill. There we will have a great point of view over Lake Plav and surroundings. This point is called as Prokletije National Park. Trail will lead us to Paljvukaj village, which will connect with the Bor Peak which has an altitude of 2106m. The peak gives us opportunity to enjoy the surroundings and have some rest with wild fruits. We walk on south direction to Grlata village. This way following the road we will reach Vusanje or Vuthaj as it is called by Albanians. Overnight in Vusanje. Accommodation will be in guesthouses, where the rooms must be shared with the group. We start the trail on altitude of 986 at Plav, continue climbing to Varadiste on altitude of 1082m, Raskrsnica will be our next altitude we will reach 1240m, since the day will be almost all the time climbing up we will reach those altitudes: Serpentina 1300m, Gradec 1440m, Karaula 1664, Bajrak hilltop 2074m, highest peak we reach this day is Bor peak 2106m, we continue downhill: Katun Grlata 1820, Fus Sirma 1548 and finally we reach Vusanje on altitude 1022m. To finish the trail will take 10-11 hours. Difficulty level: Moderate.
Day 7: Vusanje (Montenegro) – Theth (Albania) B,L,D
Today we have to pass the border between Montenegro and Albania and the trail that we will follow on this day is 20 kilometres long. This day we will pass through the Albanian Alps. The hike starts in Vusanje and from there we will enjoy the view of a beautiful waterfall. We continue our road on a dirty road until we reach the “Blue Eye” a small lake with a very clean water but looks like blue. For some kilometres we will walk through the mountains until we reach a pyramid that will tell us we are at the border with Albania. We continue southwest until we reach Runica meadow. During the hiking we will see several bunkers that were made during the Communist time. After some kilometres we reach another meadow and Paçakeqi lake few meters below Peja Pass. And from there we can see the entire Theth valley. We will need to follow the path and will reach Theth where we will overnight. At Villa Gjeçaj or Similar, accommodation will be in double or triple rooms upon request. We start the trail on altitude of 1022, continue to Blue Eye on altitude 1033, Meadow 1144m, Peja Lake 1633m we reach the highest altitude of 1707m at Peja Pass, continue downhill to Okol on altitude of 958 reaching Theth on altitude 728 m. To finish the trail will take 8hours. Difficulty level: Moderate.
Day8: Theth (Albania) B,L,D
After breakfast unloading our discovery equipment we will take a familiarization tour of the village lasting between 3-5 hours, staring with the church of Thethi originally built in 1892, rebuilt and reroofed in 2005. Roughly opposite the church across a field is the “Kulla e ngujimit” or “Lock-in Tower” which can be seen only from outside, testimony to a system of rigid and backward codes to the modern visitors, but which has regulated an isolated lifestyle in these far away mountains, for centuries, even at times when Europe was in anarchy or wars. Another inaccessible monument inside, the old water-mill, situated just below the tower was used by the locals to grind corn. Then we walk up the mill, following a footpath leading to the bridge of Gerla which hangs more than 30metres above Thethi canyon which is wide only 2 metres providing a spectacular site. At the wonderful Grunasi waterfall the waters plunges tens of metres into a deep pool, and its crystal clear water is so cold that any thoughts of a swim will be quickly dispelled, the moment it reaches your ankles. Overnight at local guest house in Theth village. Villa Gjeçaj or Similar. Difficulty level: Easy.
Day 9: Theth (Albania) – Valbona (Albania) B,L,D
After having long days of walking the day before, today we will have a shorter trail distance, it will be 13.9 kilometres long. Not far after we have passed the footbridge and take the road on our right we will see orientation signs to Valbona. We follow the sign and we reach Gjelaj village. We continue our hike on a mule track until we reach a bar where we can have a rest. Continue our road until we reach Valbona pass, and there we have a view of Theth valley and Valbona valley. We go downhill on a clear trail that will lead us to a village just before we reach Valbona valley. Our luggage will be transfer from Theth to Valbona with horses or donkeys, because in this area we don't have road connection for any tipe of cars. Once we reach Valbona we will overnight there. At Rilindja Hotel or Similar, accommodation will be in double or triple rooms upon request. Trail starts from Theth Bridge on altitude of 716 m, we go uphill on altitude of 1193m Meadow, on altitude of 1397 we see a Water Source, continue to Valbona pass which is the highest peak 1759 m. Continue downhill to Stream on altitude of 1528 m, Rragam Village 1127 m, and finally we reach Valbona on altitude of 995m. To finish the trail will take 8hours. Difficulty level: Moderate
Day 10: Valbona – Fierza – Shala River – Prizren B,L,D
After breakfast we will drive for half an hour until we reach Fierza where will take the boats from Fierza to Shala River. A magnificent two hour ride where the beauty of the high pointed mountains falling sharply into the opal green waters of the artificial lake, form a natural panorama which will leave you gasping for air. On the middle of the canyon we will continue with the boat to Shala River which is inside of Albanian Alps. After this spectacular experience you will have a traditional lunch in one of the restaurants up there, than after lunch we will take the boat back to Fierza, from where we will drive to Prizren for overnight at Kacinari Hotel or similar. Difficulty level: Easy.
Day 11: Prizren – Sharri Mountains – Prevalla – Lumbardhi Spring – Prizren B,L,D
After breakfast we drive to Prevalla which is known as a small ski center with three different climates the same day, continental, polar and Mediterranean. It is covered with snow from November until May. Highest peak is at 2651m and is surrounded with lot of peeks with almost same altitude in the range off Sharri Mountains. We will use adventure hiking route, destination is spring of river Lumebardhi which flows through mountain valleys through Prizren city into Albania and in the end flowing to Adriatic see. After a nice hiking of 4-5 hours, drive to Prizren where we will visit the Fortress of Prizren and also the Albanian League of Prizren. Overnight in Prizren for overnight at Kacinari Hotel or similar. Difficulty level: Easy to Moderate.
Day 12: Prizren – Pristina Airport B
After breakfast we drive to Pristina Airport according to your flight schedule.

Cancellation Policy
For group tours of 6 pax or more, the following cancellation policy will apply: a. If the reservation is cancelled/amended 30 days or more, prior to the arrival date, then a full refund will be given, minus a bank transaction charges. b. If the reservation is cancelled/amended 29 to 21 days, prior to the arrival date, a 30 % penalty of the total amount paid will apply. c. If the reservation is cancelled/amended 20 to 15 days, prior to the arrival date, a 50 % penalty of the total amount paid will apply.d. If the reservation is cancelled/amended 14 to 7 days, prior to the arrival date, a 70 % penalty of the total amount paid will apply. e. If the reservation is cancelled/amended less than 7 days prior to the arrival date a non-refund will apply. f. In case of no shows or early interruption of services a strict non-refund rule will apply. g. A maximum reduction of 10% of the total number of rooms booked can be reduced until 7 days prior to group arrival date. 2.1 Cancellation for FIT/Individuals bookings. FIT tours of 5 participants or less which have been confirmed and Invoice settled, can be cancelled without penalty up to 7 days prior to arrival date. Cancellations after this deadline will be charged 100% in full. Bank transfer for refunds will be the recipients’ responsibility. Balkan Destination reserve the right to cancel any of the published tours on our site only according to fixed dates that are published for groups, when there are not enough participants on the relevant dates, in such cases, we may cancel the tour for participants by notifying them in a written notice, no later than 21 days prior to the start of the tour. In such cases when we cancel a tour due to insufficient attendance on the due dates, the client or clients will be refunded the money they have paid to us in total.
