Requirements & Restrictions

Departure from Pristina (Approx. 2.4 hours including stops)
Your adventure begins early in the morning as you meet your guide in Pristina and start the scenic drive towards the Rugova Mountains, one of the most spectacular mountain regions in Kosovo. Along the way, you will pass through beautiful landscapes, traditional villages, and the city of Peja, the gateway to the Rugova Valley. After reaching Reka e Allages, the starting point of the hike, your guide will provide a short briefing about the trail, safety, and the route ahead.

Begin Hiking on the Via Dinarica Trail (Approx. 4 hours)
From Reka e Allages, you will begin hiking along a section of the famous Via Dinarica, one of the most scenic long-distance trails in the Balkans. The trail gradually ascends through alpine meadows and mountain paths, offering incredible views of the surrounding peaks of the Rugova Mountains. As you continue climbing, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic, with panoramic views stretching across Kosovo and Montenegro.

Reach Hajla Peak (30 minutes)
After a rewarding climb, you will reach Hajla Peak (2,403 m), one of the highest peaks in Kosovo. From the summit, you will enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of the Rugova Mountains and the surrounding region. Take time to rest, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful alpine atmosphere before beginning the descent.

Descend Back to the Starting Point (Approx. 3 hours)
After your break at the summit, the group will begin the descent along the same trail. Walking downhill offers a different perspective of the landscape, with more opportunities to appreciate the alpine scenery and the natural beauty of the Rugova region.

At the end of the hike, you will meet your driver at the starting point and begin the return journey to Pristina. After a full day of adventure, you will arrive back in the city in the evening with unforgettable memories from one of the most beautiful mountain experiences in Kosovo.
