Located near the capital Skopje, Matka Canyon is one of North Macedonia’s most breathtaking natural destinations, spread across more than 5,000 hectares around one of the country’s oldest artificial lakes. Known as the “Butterfly Canyon,” it boasts remarkable biodiversity and stunning landscapes of towering cliffs and emerald waters. To visit the famous Vrelo Cave, a boat tour on the canyon lake is required. This unique cave, ranked among the top natural sites in the New7Wonders of Nature project, features impressive stalactites and two crystal-clear lakes, with its exact depth still unknown. The tour also includes a visit to the peaceful Monastery of St. Andrew, beautifully set along the Treska River. For nature lovers, there is also time to enjoy a scenic walk along the 7 km Matka Trail. After exploring Matka Canyon, the tour continues to Skopje, where you will discover the city’s highlights before returning to Pristina.

Enjoy a guided walking tour of Skopje, the modern political, economic, and cultural heart of North Macedonia. Discover the city’s rich history and vibrant character as you explore its most important landmarks, including the Old Railway Station, a poignant reminder of the 1963 earthquake, and the Archaeological Museum. Visit the Memorial House of Mother Teresa, born in Skopje in 1910 and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, before continuing to Macedonia Square, home to impressive monuments such as the iconic statue of Alexander the Great. Cross the historic Stone Bridge linking the modern city with the Old Bazaar, and visit the Holocaust Museum. In the Old Bazaar, admire outstanding examples of Ottoman-era architecture, including the Church of St. Spas with its exquisite 19th-century wood-carved iconostasis, the Daut Pasha Hammam (now an art gallery), Kapan An from the 15th century, and the elegant Mustafa Pasha Mosque. After the tour, return to Pristina, marking the end of our services.
